Since 1997, when Dr Philip Nitschke became the first doctor in the world to administer a legal, lethal voluntary injection, the issue of assisted suicide/ dying and voluntary euthanasia has not been far from Philip’s mind.
The right to choose where, how and when one dies is a fundamental human right.
Yet in modern times, this right has been restricted and heavily regulated via the medical profession.
This framing of policy and the law has left with little choice at the end.
The purpose of Exit Generation is to facilitate public education about end of life choices.
This is done directly and indirectly via a range of activities.
Workshops and other learning events are facilitated by Exit International, both face-2-face and online.
A leading edge R&D program facilitates projects such as the 3D-printed Sarco capsule as well as other developments including the use of AI in mental capacity assessment.
